Will the Avalanche and Maple Leafs generate enough scoring to cash the over when the two teams square off at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday? Will the Penguins and Golden Knights take care of business as separate road favorites in Vancouver and Ottawa, respectively.
NHL Best Bet: Penguins -149 (at Vancouver)
The Penguins are heavy chalk in this spot against a struggling Canucks club that’s deep in the Pacific Division basement. Pittsburgh is currently 2nd in the Metro, while Vancouver has just 1 win in its last 12 games since trading Quinn Hughes. That kind of slide doesn’t usually stop overnight.
From a goals perspective, the puck total in this game is 6.5 — a fairly high number — but leaning Pittsburgh straight up remains cleaner and more predictable given roster stability and offensive firepower from Sidney Crosby and co. The Canucks’ goalie situation also looks unsettled, with Nikita Tolopilo recalled recently and inconsistent results.

Vegas sits in that sweet spot where the favorite is strong — but not too strong — for a moneyline play. Consensus data shows the Golden Knights at about –150 on the moneyline and favored on most books.
Ottawa’s recent form hasn’t been great (Senators were beaten 4–1 in their last outing), and while home ice can tighten lines, Vegas generally dominates play when fully healthy and in rhythm. The Knights’ depth up front and a high-tempo attack give them an edge, and +105 or similar underdog odds aren’t enough value here against a middling Ottawa defense.

This total appears on most books around 6.5 goals for this early afternoon tilt. The Colorado/Toronto game features two offenses that have shown flare this season — and defenses that can be inconsistent. Consensus odds show an 89% lean to Colorado on the moneyline, but more importantly a strong public lean toward the over in goals.
The Avalanche have offensive stars who can pile up scoring chances quickly, while the Maple Leafs — even when underdogs — are rarely shut down early. Pick this total early before any late line movement narrows the over value.
