Flyers Stanley Cup Odds
After a busy offseason, the Philadelphia Flyers hope that they could be a sleeper to win the 2010 NHL Stanley Cup.
This offseason, the Flyers acquired Chris Pronger, Ray Emery, Brian Boucher, Ian Laperriere, Ole-Kristian Tollefsen and Jason Ward. Emery is always a melt down away from losing it in net, but he’s coming off a solid season in Russia and could be the key to Philadelphia contending for the Cup.
Mike Richards is coming off a breakthrough season in which he scored 30 goals and 80 points. He’s a physical player who is disciplined and has excellent defensive awareness.
As long as Emery doesn’t cause friction in the locker room like he did in Ottawa, the Flyers have a chance to contend this year. The Flyers have one of the most balanced and talented teams in the league, but Emery needs to keep his wits about him in order for Philadelphia to reach its full potential.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com currently list the Flyers at 14/1 to win the 2010 Stanley Cup and 7/1 to win the Eastern Conference.
