Golden Knights cruise past Kings

Las Vegas earned a 4-1 victory at Los Angeles Saturday to improve to 22-15-4 on the season. William Carrier opened the scoring for the Golden Knights to give them a 1-0 lead in the first period on assists from Cody Eakin and Nick Holden. The Kings tied it up later in the first period, but Las Vegas scored three unanswered goals after that to secure the victory. Alex Tuch scored in the second period on an assist from Paul Stastny to give the visitors a 2-1 advantage. William Karlsson made it 3-1 in the third on assist from Nate Schmidt, while Stastny added another goal later in the period with assists going to Tuch and Schmidt. Malcolm Subban made 30 saves on 31 shots to pick up the win.

Coyotes prevail in OT

Arizona fell behind 2-0 in the first period before Ekman-Larsson got the Coyotes on the board late in the first on assists from Alex Galchenyuk and Keller. After Anaheim made it 3-1 in the second period, Arizona trimmed it back to a one-goal game on a goal by Christian Fischer. Ilya Lyubushkin and Conor Garland picked up assists. The Ducks again took a two-goal lead in the second, but Arizona tied it at 4-4 before the period was over. Adin Hill earned the win in net as he recorded 37 saves on 41 shots.

NHL Betting Trends

Las Vegas

The Golden Knights are 17-3 in their last 20 Sunday games. Las Vegas is 5-1 in the last six meetings.

Arizona

The Coyotes are 2-8 in their last 10 home games. Arizona is 3-8 in its last 11 games overall.

Prediction:

Las Vegas should have starting goalie Marc-Andre Fleury back between the pipes today and should do well against a struggling Arizona squad. Las Vegas is looking for a big push forward as the calendar hits 2019 and turning their current stretch into a three-game winning streak against an inferior foe would be another step forward.
