NHL Betting Trends
Washington
The Capitals are 7-1 in their last eight games as an underdog. Washington is 16-5 in its last 21 road games.
Carolina
The Hurricanes are 31-14 in their last 45 games as a favorite. Carolina is 5-1 in the last six meetings.
Prediction:
The Hurricanes had the Capitals’ number in the postseason last spring, but I think there will be an extra focus by Washington tonight considering that fact. The Capitals have been very difficult to beat all season and getting them at plus money usually feels like a gift. I’d rather take my shot on that side especially with the revenge factor on the board.
