Bruins down Wild in OT

Boston earned a 5-4 home win in overtime Saturday night over Minnesota to improve to 15-3-5 on the season. Torey Krug scored the game-winner 2:41 into overtime with assists from Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. The Wild led 1-0 through one period before Jake DeBrusk evened it up 4:14 into the second period on assists by Zdeno Chara and Brad Ritchie. Minnesota scored the next two goals, but Boston cut it back to 3-2 with four seconds left in the second on a Marchand goal assisted by Krug and Bergeron. The Wild made it a 4-2 game in the third, yet David Krejci scored with a 1:55 remaining off assists from Bergeron and DeBrusk to pull the hosts within 4-3. Krejci scored again on the power play 48 seconds later to tie the score on assists courtesy of Bergeron and Krug. Tuukka Rask made 32 saves on 36 shots to pick up the win.

Canadiens blow lead against Rangers

Montreal fell 6-5 at home Sunday night versus New York to drop to 11-7-5 on the season. Max Domi scored 2:03 into the contest to give the Canadiens a 1-0 advantage on assists from Nick Suzuki and Artturi Lehkonen. Lehkonen scored midway through the first to make it 2-0 as assists went to Joel Armia and Mike Reilly. Domi pushed it to 3-0 with 34 seconds left in the first on assists courtesy of Suzuki and Ben Chiarot. Shea Weber made it a 4-0 game 2:51 into the second period on assists from Chiarot and Charles Hudon. The Rangers trimmed it to 4-3 by the end of the second. Lehkonen extended the lead to 5-3 with 14:40 left in the third period on an assist from Domi. New York scored three more goals the rest of the way to overtake the hosts. Carey Price surrendered six goals on 34 shots in the defeat.

NHL Betting Trends

The Bruins are 4-1 in their last five games overall. Boston is 32-10 in its last 42 Tuesday games.

The Canadiens are 13-3 in their last 16 Tuesday games. Montreal is 9-4 in its last 13 games versus the Atlantic Division.

Boston is an experienced, disciplined team that was in a rut for a while but seems to have pulled out of it. I like the Bruins here against a Canadiens team that has some promise but is still inconsisent. Look for Boston to show why it is one of the NHL's top teams with a quality road win here.
