Las Vegas falls in high-scoring affair
The Golden Knights fell to 7-9-1 on the season Saturday night with a 5-4 loss at the Canadiens as they faltered in the third governor. Las Vegas grabbed a 2-0 lead through the first period after goals by Brad Hunt and Jonathan Marchessault. After giving up three straight goals in the second period, the Golden Knights tied it back in later in the period on a goal from Alex Tuch. William Karlsson scored early in the third period to give the visitors a 4-3 advantage before Montreal scored the tying and eventual game-winning goals. Karlsson added two assists, while Hunt also had an assist. Tomas Hyka dished out two assists. Marc-Andre Fleury surrendered five goals on 27 shots to take the loss.
Bruins roll to win over Maple Leafs
Boston notched a 5-1 home victory over Toronto Saturday night as David Pastrnak recorded a hat trick. He now has 15 goals on the season in 16 games. Pastrnak also dished out an assist. Patrice Bergeron contributed a goal and two assists. Joakim Nordstrom also scored a goal. Brad Marchand dished out two assists. Jaroslav Halak recorded 40 saves on 41 shots to pick up the win. Boston led 3-0 until the Maple Leafs got on the board with their lone goal late in the period.
NHL Betting Trends
The Golden Knights are 14-1 in their last 15 Sunday games. The under is 5-1-1 in the last seven Las Vegas games on Sunday.
The Bruins are 0-6 in their last six games during game three of a 3-in-4 situation. Boston is 0-4 in its last four versus the Pacific Division.
Both teams will be a bit fatigued after playing yesterday, but the Bruins definitely looked better and remained at home. I can't trust a bet on Las Vegas right now, especially on the road. I like the Boston goaltending and defense to stifle the Golden Knights, while their offense will look to pick up where it left off yesterday.
