Sunday’s NHL Prediction
Phoenix and Anaheim are both off to slow starts to kick off the 2010-11 NHL Season and the two meet on Sunday in hopes to reverse that trend.
The Coyotes are 1-1-1 on the year but are 1-0-0 on the road while Anaheim is 1-3-1 on the season and 1-0-1 at home.
The Ducks have given up a league-high 21 goals thus far on the season while the Coyotes have scored a league-low 6 goals.
Here is a look at the trends and my pick for Sunday night’s game.
Phoenix Coyotes at Anaheim Ducks, 8PM ET
Trends seem to favor Anaheim in this game as the Ducks are 4-1 in their last five meetings with the Coyotes at home and the home team is 7-1 in the last eight games in this series.
The Ducks are also 4-1 in their last five as a home favorite while Phoenix is just 1-4 in their last five games against Western Conference opponents.
Though Anaheim has struggled, they should be able to slow down Phoenix, which has had trouble scoring. The Ducks should be able to find ways to score enough goals to squeak out a win.
