Ducks blow three-goal lead at Stars
Anaheim led 3-0 in the second period Saturday at the Stars, but proceeded to give up five unanswered goals in a 5-3 defeat. Adam Henrique, Kiefer Sherwood and Jakob Silfverberg each scored a goal in the loss for the Ducks. John Gibson made 40 stops on 44 shots in the loss before being replaced by Ryan Miller, who made six saves on six shots.
Blues fall in OT at Chicago
St. Louis dropped a 4-3 decision in overtime Saturday at the Blackhawks to fall to 1-1-2 on the season. The Blues led 3-2 in the third period before giving up the tying goal with under seven minutes remaining, followed by the decider with nine seconds remaining in overtime. Brayden Schenn scored both goals in the defeat for St. Louis. Jake Allen made 46 saves on 50 shots in the losing effort.
NHL Betting Trends
The over is 5-0 in the last five Ducks games on Sundays. The under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings in St. Louis.
The home team is 38-14-1 in the last 53 meetings. The over is 4-0-1 in the last five Blues games overall.
Both teams played yesterday so fatigue will be the same on both sides. It will also be a battle of backup goalies with Miller between the pipes for St. Louis and Chad Johnson going for Anaheim. Due to this, I think the best play might be the over as the defenses might not make up for subpar goaltending.
