Lightning vs. Rangers Game 5 Odds
NEW YORK (TheSpread) – The New York Rangers return home tonight to host the Tampa Bay Lightning in a crucial Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals at 8PM ET.
Tampa Bay is 60-31-8 on the season and 23-19-7 on the road while New York is 63-27-8 overall and 31-14-5 at home. The Rangers were able to even this series at 2-2 thanks to a 5-1 road victory in Game 4. Both teams have now picked up a win at home and on the road in this series. These two have hit the over in six of their last seven meetings and in three of the four games in this series.
According to the latest oddsmakers, New York is the favorite at home in tonight’s Game 5, as the Rangers are getting odds of -135 to win, while the Lightning are getting a money line of +125 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5 goals.
After allowing six goals in the previous two games of the series, Henrik Lundqvist got back on track in Game 4, making 38 saves to lead the Rangers to a win. New York had just 24 shots in the game compared to 39 for the Lightning, but Lundqvist took over. Rick Nash also had a much-needed big game in the win, recording two goals with one assist. Steven Stamkos had the lone Tampa Bay goal in the loss.
