Canucks-Sharks Game 4 Free Pick
The Spread) – Game 4 is upon us in the Western Conference Finals series between the Vancouver Canucks and the San Jose Sharks. Who will prevail Sunday afternoon?
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the host Sharks a -120 favorite in today’s Game 4, while the Canucks are +100 underdogs. The over/under for tonight’s game is 5.5 goals and the start is set for 3:35PM EST.
San Jose controlled much of Game 3 at home and pushed its lead to 4-1 in the third period before surrendering a pair of late goals. The Sharks ultimately held on for their first win of the series, setting up today to possibly even things at 2-2.
Patrick Marleau led the San Jose offense in Game 3 as he accounted for two goals, while Danny Boyle added a goal and an assist. Sharks goalie Antti Niemi made 27 saves.
NHL Free Pick: I think the Sharks even the series here. They beat up the Canucks a bit last game and played with a lot more energy in front of their home faithful. As long as Niemi can stay away from one of his bad stretches, I think they will be fine. Vancouver made a nice push at the end of Game 3 and will likely employ a similar gameplan early to attempt to rattle San Jose. But the Sharks are on a mission too and I like them to control their home ice. According to the latest NHL trends, San Jose is 8-7 against the spread versus Vancouver over the last three seasons. Take the Sharks at -120.
SUNDAY NHL FREE PICK: SAN JOSE SHARKS -120
