Rangers vs. Hurricanes Game 2 Prediction
The Rangers seemingly had a win wrapped up in Carolina on Wednesday night but had the ‘W’ ripped from them in the final minutes of regulation and overtime. Will New York bounce back or are the Hurricanes the better bet to go up 2-0 in this best-of-seven series?
Game Snapshot

New York Rangers DFS Spin
Igor Shesterkin stopped 24 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss to Carolina in Game 1 of Round 2. Shesterkin only faced 14 shots through the first two periods and he stopped them all. Carolina forward Sebastian Aho was able to score late in the third when the Hurricanes mounted more pressure and Ian Cole supplied the game winner just 3:12 into extra time. Shesterkin will look to bounce back in Game 2 on Friday.
Carolina Hurricanes DFS Spin
Frederik Andersen (lower body) was on the ice Thursday with goaltending coach Paul Schonfelder. Andersen needs to get to back to full practices with his teammates before he can be considered an option to the return to the crease. However, this is a positive first step. Andersen hasn’t played since Apr. 16 because of a lower-body injury.
Rangers vs. Hurricanes Game 2 Betting Prediction
The Rangers are now 1-4 in their last five games in Carolina but their loss on Wednesday was the first time the road team fell in the previous five meetings between these two teams. The Rangers are still 35-17 in their last 52 games against the Hurricanes overall and are 23-8 in their last 31 games when their opponent scored two goals or fewer in their previous contest. New York played well in Game 1 – the Rangers just didn’t close out. I see them doing so tonight.
