Canucks-Sharks Game 3 Free Pick
(The Spread) – The Sharks look to get into the win column when they host the Canucks in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals tonight.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Sharks –117 money line favorites over the visiting Canucks, who are +108 on the ML. The over/under for tonight’s game is 5.5 goals and the puck will drop at 9:00PM ET.
In Game 2 on Wednesday night, the Canucks smoked the Sharks 7-3 behind four third-period goals. Daniel Sedin scored twice, while Kevin Bieksa, Raffi Torres, Chris Higgins, Mason Raymond and Aaron Rome all found the back of the net with one goal apiece.
For the Sharks, Patrick Marleau, Logan Couture and Ben Eager all scored, but it was Antti Niemi’s disastrous performance in the net and a bad defensive effort that cost San Jose another game. Niemi saved just 31 of the 38 shots he faced on the night.
NHL Free Pick: The Sharks will wind up winning at least one of these next two games at home and I think they’ll be rejuvenated to return to the tank tonight. Don’t forget they’re coming off a long, pressure-packed series with the Red Wings and they may have not had their legs under them in the first two games against the Canucks. They should bounce back as a team, which includes Niemi, who showed his resiliency last year in the Stanley Cup Finals. According to latest NHL trends, the favorite is 12-3 in the last 15 meetings between these two teams, while the home squad is 11-5 in the last 16 games between San Jose and Vancouver. Take the Sharks and lay the juice.
FRIDAY NHL FREE PICK: SAN JOSE SHARKS –117
