Lightning vs. Rangers Game 2 Odds
NEW YORK (TheSpread) – The NHL Eastern Conference Finals are back in action today when the New York Rangers host the Tampa Bay Lightning for Game 2 of their series at 8PM ET.
New York is 62-26-7 on the season and 31-13-5 at home while Tampa Bay is 58-30-8 on the season and 22-19-7 on the road. New York established a 1-0 lead in the series with a 2-1 win in Game 1 on Saturday. It was the first win for the Rangers against the Lightning this season. Tampa has won five of its last seven against New York and the two have hit the over in three of their four meetings this season.
According to online sports book Bovada.lv, New York is the favorite at home tonight, as the Rangers are getting odds of -135 to win, while the Lightning are getting a money line of +125 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 4.5 goals.
The Rangers were able to slow down the red-hot Lightning in Game 1. New York had a 30-24 advantage in shots and a 30-18 edge in hits in the victory. Derek Stepan got the Rangers on the board first with just 13 seconds left in the second period. Tampa then tied the game early in the third on a power-play goal from Ondrej Palat. The Rangers then took the lead for good with 2:25 left in regulation as Dominic Moore found the net.
