(The Spread) – A Game 4 victory by the Detroit Red Wings kept them alive, but they still are facing a tall order as the San Jose Sharks host Game 5 Sunday night.

Detroit stayed alive at home Friday night with a 4-3 victory as Darren Helm scored the game-winning goal with under two minutes left. The Sharks are still in control of the series as they lead 3-1 heading into tonight’s Game 5.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Sharks -150 favorites for tonight’s game and the Red Wings are +120 underdogs. The over-under is set at 5.5.
San Jose won the first three games in the series by one goal each including two in overtime, but the Red Wings finally found a way past their Western Conference foes as they intially blew a 3-0 lead before Helm’s eventual game-winner. Detroit goaltender Jimmy Howard stopped 25 of 28 shots in the winning effort.
According to the latest NHL trends, San Jose is 13-8 against the spread versus Detroit over the last three seasons. Thirteen of 21 games in this series have goneover the total during the last three seasons.
