Golden Knights vs. Sharks Prediction
The San Jose Sharks evened their series with the Las Vegas Golden Knights at a game apiece with a double overtime victory last game. Can San Jose build on that tonight with another win as the favorite in Game 3?

Couture lifts Sharks to double OT win
San Jose center Logan Couture scored his second goal of the game and fourth of the playoffs in double overtime to lift his squad to the 4-3 win over the host Golden Knights in double overtime. Las Vegas had appeared to have won the game in the first OT, but after a lengthy review its goal was disallowed due to goalie interference. It was a much-needed win for the Sharks as they now control home ice returning to San Jose. Defenseman Brent Burns also had two goals and an assist in the victory. Goalie Martin Jones bounced back from an awful Game 1 performance to make 26 saves on 29 shots to earn the victory.
Karlsson bright spot for Las Vegas
Center William Karlsson had a fantastic regular season for the Golden Knights as he racked up 43 goals and 35 assists in 82 games played. After a relatively quiet first round series in which he notched one goal and one assist over four games, he has come alive against San Jose. In Game 1, he dished out three assists in the 7-0 rout. In Game 2, Karlsson accounted for two of the three Golden Knights goals despite the OT loss. Expect his impact to be felt throughout the series. Defenseman Nate Schmidt scored the other goal in the defeat, while also adding an assist.
NHL Betting Trends
Las Vegas
The Golden Knights are 5-1 in their last six road games overall. Las Vegas is 8-1 in its last nine games vs. a team with a winning road record.
San Jose
The over is 6-0-3 in the last nine Sharks conference semifinals games. San Jose is 4-0 in its last four games playing on one day of rest.
Prediction:
Las Vegas very nearly went up 2-0 in the series, but its overturned goal in overtime kept the path open for the Sharks to steal the victory. The two meetings in San Jose were split this season and the Sharks won the more recent contest 2-1 in overtime on March 22. I think it’s safe to take the hosts here as they are a solid 27-13-2-1 at home this season and have been playing great hockey during the playoffs aside from Game 1 when they laid an egg.
