Bet NHL Action For Wednesday, April 4, 2018

Anaheim opened as a -160 favorite before the line went down, while the over-under has remained at 5.5 goals. The Ducks are between a -135 and -145 favorite depending where you look, while the Wild range from a +115 to +130 underdog. The total is at 5.5 everywhere.

As of Wednesday afternoon, 71 percent of public bets have sided with Anaheim. Online wager info also shows that 56 percent of bets are being placed on the under.

Minnesota defenseman Gustav Olofsson (upper body) is questionable to play tonight. Defenseman Ryan Suter (ankle) and center Luke Kunin (knee) are out for the season. Jared Spurgeon (hamstring) is out until mid-April. For the Ducks, goalie John Gibson (upper body) and right winger Troy Terry (undisclosed) are both questionable. Defenseman Cam Fowler (shoulder) is out until mid-May. Defenseman Kevin Bieksa (hand) is out until late April. Right winger Patrick Eaves (illness) is out indefinitely.

Minnesota has been dominant at home this season (27-6-7-1) and mediocre on the road (17-19-0-2), while Anaheim is strong at home (24-10-3-2). But the Wild did secure a 3-2 overtime victory at the Ducks in December. Both teams have clinched a playoff berth, so this will be an opportunity for the Wild to prove it could be a contender in the Western Conference come the postseason.
