Red Wings vs. Canadiens Prediction
After picking up a big win on Monday night, Pavel Datsyuk and the Red Wings will attempt to post back-to-back victories when they take on the Canadiens tonight at 7:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Red Wings are -140 money line road favorites to beat the Canadiens, who have odds of +120 to pull off the upset at home. As for the over/under, the number currently sits at 5.5 goals.

Petr Mrazek had the night off on Monday as teammate Jimmy Howard picked up a 3-2 win over the Sabres. Mrazek has struggled of late, including in a 7-2 loss to the Penguins last Saturday. He was pulled after allowing four goals on 27 shots in just 35 minutes of play and owns just one win in his last four decisions.
Mike Condon has also struggled and is coming off an ugly performance in a 5-2 loss to the Rangers on Saturday. He stopped just 14 of 19 shots and did not come out for the third period as a result of his performance. Ben Scrivens replaced Condon and only faced four shots in the final 20 minutes as New York cruised to victory.

I have more faith in Mrazek turning things around at this point than Condon. The Habs have lost four of their last five home games and are just 1-10 in their last 11 games after allowing five goals or more in their previous contest. They’re also just 16-36 in their last 52 games overall.
Take the desperate team coming off a win.
