INJURY TO WATCH
San Jose center Logan Couture (undisclosed) and right winger Joonas Donskoi (upper body) are questionable to play tonight. Right winger Joel Ward (shoulder) and center Joe Thornton (knee) are out indefinitely. Defenseman Joakim Ryan (upper body) is out until early April. For the Blackhawks, center Jonathan Toews (upper body) is questionable. Left winger Anthony Duclair (lower body) is out until early April. Goalie Corey Crawford (brain injury) and defenseman Michal Rozsival (brain injury) are out indefinitely. Right winger Marian Hossa (illness) is out for the season.
Seems like the whole world is on the Sharks, but maybe it's a good spot to be a contrarian. San Jose has won seven in a row, but four have been at home and at least two of the three road games have come against subpar teams. Chicago falls in the subpar category too, but at 17-17-4-0 at home it is capable of beating a decent to good team on any given night. The Blackhawks have won the last two meetings in Chcago, while their 3-1 win at the Islanders two nights ago shows they aren't ready to fold up just yet. This might be a risky spot, but it could pay off in a big way.
