Bruins vs. Maple Leafs Prediction
The Bruins are in danger of falling into a Wildcard battle against Philadelphia and thus desperately need to end their current five-game losing streak. They’ll look to do so tonight against the Maple Leafs.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bruins are -160 money line favorites versus the Maple Leafs, who have odds of +125 to pull off the upset tonight at home. As for the total, the number currently sits at 5 goals.
Bet Tonight’s Bruins vs. Maple Leafs Game
Tuukka Rask has not been good of late but Boston coach Claude Julien will likely still turn to the Finn tonight against the Maple Leafs. Rask is coming off a 32-save effort in a 4-1 loss to Florida on Thursday night. He’s lost three straight games and is now 28-21-7 this season with a 2.54 goals against average and a .917 save percentage.
On the other side is Jonathan Bernier, who has been pretty solid of late while limiting opponents to two or fewer goals in each of his last four starts. But he also still has a 2.89 goals against average and a .905 save percentage for the season. With the Bruins desperate for a win, Bernier better be on his game.

Instead of laying the -160 on a struggling Bruins team, I like the over with both goaltending situations suspect. The over has cashed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams when the game is played in Toronto and the over is also 5-1-3 in the Bruins’ last nine road games versus a team with a home winning percentage of less than .400. On top of those figures, the over is 4-0-3 in the Leaf’s last seven home games as well.
