The San Jose Sharks are trying to secure their fourth straight Pacific Division title and improve their seeding for the playoffs. They’ve won three in a row and 21 of their last 28, and are now just three points away from the Central Division-leading Red Wings for the No. 2 seed.

Two Pacific Division rivals with 85 points will square off tonight when the Dallas Stars host the Anaheim Ducks. The Stars have lost three of their last four games, while the Ducks have won three in a row and eight of their last 10.
Oddsmakers have made Dallas a –135 money line favorite over Anaheim, which is +125. According to latest NHL trends, the home team is 8-1 in the last nine meetings between these two teams and the Ducks are just 7-19-1 in their last 27 trips to Dallas.
Also on the NHL for Wednesday night, the Chicago Blackhawks are –240 on the money line against the Florida Panthers (+219), while odds have yet to be released for the Vancouver Canucks-Detroit Red Wings game. Daniel Sedin leads the Canucks in goals with 38, while Henrik Zetterberg has a team-high 52 assists for Detroit.
