INJURY TO WATCH
Golden Knights right winger Reilly Smith (shoulder) is doubtful to play tonight. Center Oscar Lindberg (brain injury), left winger William Carter (shoulder) and defenseman Clayton Stoner (abdominal) are all out indefinitely. Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury (head) is out tonight. Defenseman Luca Sbisa (hand) is out until early April. For the Sharks, right winger Joel Ward (shoulder) is questionable for tonight's game. Right winger Joonas Donskoi (upper body) is out. Defenseman Joakim Ryan (upper body) is out until early April, while center Joe Thornton (knee) is out indefinitely.
Las Vegas has won two in a row and six of its last 10. You'd be hard-pressed to find too many rough stretches this season for the very surprising expansion franchise. Las Vegas has won both meetings this season, prevailing 5-4 in overtime on its home ice in November and then adding a 5-3 win in San Jose last month. The Sharks come in on a five-game win streak and have scored at least four goals in each game. But the win streak is a bit deceiving as San Jose played many times in full tank mode. I say go with recent history and take Las Vegas here as you get a nice underdog price and it's a team capable of beating anyone on any given night.
