Flames vs. Canadiens Prediction
Michael Frolik and the Flames clearly aren’t just playing out the final string of games this season but can they pull off the upset when the visit the Canadiens at 7:00PM ET tonight?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Montreal is a -140 money line favorite to beat Calgary, which has odds of +120 to pull off the upset. As for the total, the number currently sits at 5 goals.
Bet Tonight’s Flames vs. Habs Game
The Flames are 4-4-1 over their last 10 games and the over/under is 5-5-0 during that same stretch. The Canadiens, meanwhile, are 3-6-0 in their last 10 contests while their over/under record is 3-2-5 during that span. Calgary is also 10-20-1 on the road this season while Montreal has posted a winning record at 19-13-2 at home.
After crushing the Blues 7-4 at home on March 14, the Flames parlayed that victory into a 4-1 win over the Jets in their next outing. They failed to post a three-game winning streak when they lost to the Avalanche 4-3 on Friday night, but the Flames were competitive in that game as well, losing in a shootout.

As for the Habs, they’re coming off an ugly 5-0 loss at Ottawa on Saturday and needed overtime to win at Buffalo last Wednesday. They also fell 4-1 to the Panthers in their last home game, which took place on March 15, and are now 3-7 in their last 10 games overall.
The Candiens are winless at 0-8 in their last eight games after allowing five goals or more in their previous contest and have dropped five of six following a loss of three or more goals. The Flames are just 5-13 in their last 18 games overall but they’ve won 14 of 17 when their opponent allows five goals or more in their previous game.
Simply put, the Flames are playing better hockey right now and are worth a flier at their +120 price.
