DENVER, CO (TheSpread) – The Colorado Avalanche and New Jersey Devils both are in need of a win tonight when they meet at 9PM ET.

New Jersey is 28-29-4 on the season and 11-19 on the road. Colorado is 30-26-7 on the season and 17-14-2 at home. Colorado has won six of its last seven meetings with New Jersey, including the lone meeting this season, which saw Colorado pick up a 3-2 win in New Jersey. These two have hit the under in seven of their last eight meetings.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Colorado is the favorite at home, as the Avalanche are getting odds of -155 to win, while the Devils are getting a money line of +135 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at just 4.5 goals.

New Jersey has won six of its last 10 games but is coming off a road loss against Minnesota. The Devils have pushed or hit the under in seven of their last nine games. Colorado has won three of its last four games, but is coming off a 5-2 home loss to Los Angeles. The Avalanche are just 2-3 in this last five at home and they have pushed or hit the under in four of their last five.
