Vladimir Tarasenko played his first game of the season as he returned from off-season shoulder surgery. Tarasenko played 16:25 and had four shots on goal as he played on the top line with Ryan O'Reilly and Jordan Kyrou and just missed in overtime as the Blues lost 4-3 to Los Angeles. “I thought he looked really good early on,” coach Craig Berube said. “We kept his shifts short. He did some good stuff. I thought he was gonna score there in overtime. He did a good job driving wide. I thought he looked good. He skated well. He was strong. He was physical. Did a lot of good things.” Get him back in your lineup ASAP.

Devan Dubnyk allowed four goals during Saturday's 4-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. Dubnyk made a total of 28 saves on 32 shots and finished the night with a .875 save percentage. This was Dubnyk's third consecutive game, in which he posted a save percentage below .900. The San Jose Sharks have been struggling as of late in their netminding position and tonight's game did not alleviate the burden whatsoever. This loss brings Dubnyk's record down to 1-5-2.
