Sunday NHL Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Sunday is shaping up to be a great day in the NHL, with several marquee matchups highlighting the schedule. Continue reading for opening lines, odds and totals on every game in the NHL for February 13, 2011.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Detroit Red Wings –135 money line favorites over the Boston Bruins, who are +125 on the line. The Wings enter Sunday’s game with a 33-16-6 record, while the Bruins are 31-17-7.
According to recent NHL trends, the under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings between the Wings and Bruins, and 5-0 in Detroit’s last five home games. It’s also 4-1 in the Wings’ last five games overall and 5-1 in Boston’s last six Sunday games.
In what should be another great matchup on the rink, the Philadelphia Flyers will host the Los Angeles Kings at 3:00PM ET. The Flyers have opened as –177 money line favorites, while the Kings are +163.
Current NHL stats reveal that Ryan Smyth has a team-high 19 goals for the Kings, while Daniel Briere leads the Flyers in the same category, although he has 27 goals this season.
