After Buffalo tied it back up at 3-3, Brock McGinn gave the visitors the lead back with 8:57 remaining on a goal assisted by Martinook and Svechnikov. Nino Niederreiter scored a power play goal, his 15th of the season to push the Carolina lead to two goals with 5:02 left. Teravainen and Aho picked up assists. NHL Betting Trends

Carolina

The Hurricanes are 6-0 in their last six in the third game of a three-in-four situation. Carolina is 4-1 in its last five games.

New York

The Rangers are 6-2 in their last eight games playing on one day of rest. New York is 17-35 in its last 52 games versus the Eastern Conference.

Prediction:

The Rangers come in with more rest and should have Henrik Lundqvist back in net. New York has played some good hockey lately and showed fight in not folding against Boston after a rough second period. The Hurricanes eked by last night, but I can't imagine they'll have a lot to offer tonight with the quick turnaround. My money is on New York here.
