It is safe to say that Vancouver (33-10-9) does not have a lot of friendly thoughts about the Chicago Blackhawks (27-20-4), the team that has eliminated the Canucks from the Stanley Cup playoffs. Vancouver will get another chance to take out its frustrations on Chicago tonight at 10:00PM EST as it hosts the Blackhawks in a game that will be shown on WGN.
Oddsmakers and online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Canucks -160 favorites, while the over-under is set at 5.5. According to the latest trends, Chicago is 14-9 against Vancouver over the past three seasons.
Chicago, the defending Stanley Cup champions, has been inconsistent this year but are coming in on a strong note offensively as its first game after the All-Star break was a 7-4 win Tuesday at Columbus. The Canucks, on the other hand, have been mostly consistent all season and are winners of four straight including two since the All-Star break with a 4-1 victory at Dallas and a 6-0 thrashing at Phoenix.
Daniel Sedin leads Vancouver with 27 goals and 40 assists, while his brother Henrik Sedin has tallied 11 goals and 51 assists. Patrick Sharp paces the Blackhawks with 26 goals and 21 assists.
