St. Louis Blues DFS Spin
Vladimir Tarasenko posted three points via a goal and two assists in Wednesday’s 4-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Big night for Tarasenko in this one, as he assisted on first-period goals by Robert Thomas and Jordan Kyrou to put the Blues up 2-0 on the scoreboard and later netted a go-ahead goal against Mike Smith near the end of the second period, snapping a 2-2 tie while pushing St. Louis closer to victory. The 30-year-old forward has registered 13 goals and 31 points in 32 games this season.
Minnesota Wild DFS Spin
Jared Spurgeon (lower body) is expected to be sidelined for “a couple of weeks,” according to Wild GM Bill Guerin. Spurgeon hasn’t played since Dec. 16 when he re-aggravated a lower-body injury. He had already been ruled out for Saturday’s Winter Classic and now we have a better idea of his timetable.
Blues vs. Wild NHL Prediction
The Blues have cashed in six of the last seven meetings with the Wild, are 6-2 in their last eight games overall and are 6-2 in their last eight games versus an opponent with a winning record. On the other side, the Wild have dropped four straight games overall.
