FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -Defensive end Ty Warren and linebacker Adalius Thomas were sidelined for the New England Patriots when they played the New York Jets on Thursday night.
Warren has a groin injury and was inactive for the first time this season. Thomas hurt his arm in last Sunday’s 20-10 win over the Buffalo Bills but has not been placed on injured reserve, which would have ended his season. The arm reportedly is broken.
For the Jets, placekicker Mike Nugent remained sidelined after injuring his thigh in the season opener. Linebacker David Harris missed his third game with a groin injury and tight end Bubba Franks was inactive for his fourth with a hip injury.
man, running back Marcus Mason and wide receiver David Clowney. Brett Ratliff was listed as the third quarterback.
The other inactive players for New England were injured cornerbacks Terrence Wheatley and Lewis Sanders, linebacker Eric Alexander, tackle Wesley Britt and running back LaMont Jordan, who missed his sixth game with a calf injury. Matt Gutierrez was the third quarterback.
