SEATTLE (AP) -Linebacker Lofa Tatupu was inactive for the Seahawks’ game against Philadelphia with a groin injury, leaving Seattle without three injured Pro Bowl players and a former Super Bowl MVP.
Tatupu did not practice all week after leaving last week’s win at San Francisco. Coach Mike Holmgren thought the three-time Pro Bowler would still be able to play, and Tatupu was listed as questionable on Friday. Yet he was out with quarterback Matt Hasselbeck – who missed his fourth consecutive game with back and knee issues – defensive end Patrick Kerney and wide receiver Deion Branch.
Veteran D.D. Lewis replaced Tatupu. Seneca Wallace made his third consecutive start for Hasselbeck.
Kerney was in Alabama visiting the surgeon who repaired his left shoulder last offseason. Darryl Tapp and rookie Lawrence Jackson started at end for Seattle.
starting tight end L.J. Smith, who sustained a concussion in the fourth quarter of last week’s win over Atlanta.
Eagles starting guard Shawn Andrews missed his sixth consecutive game following back surgery. Max Jean-Gilles started again for him.
