EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -Despite missing practice all week with a broken rib, Pro Bowl tight end Jason Witten was active for the Dallas Cowboys’ game with the New York Giants on Sunday.
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo missed his third straight game with a broken right pinkie, and was again replaced by Brad Johnson.
Dallas also was without starting cornerback Terence Newman, who missed his fifth straight game with a sports hernia. Mike Jenkins started at left cornerback for the third straight week.
Cory Proctor started at left guard for Kyle Kosier, who’s out with a foot injury.
The Giants had no changes to their starting lineup. Their inactives included kicker Lawrence Tynes, cornerback Kevin Dockery (back) and linebacker Gerris Wilkinson (knee).
