NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Titans quarterback Jake Locker has been carted off the field early in the third quarter with an injured right hip after he was hit first by Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson and then linebacker Quinton Coples.
Locker had just thrown an incomplete pass to Nate Washington when Wilkerson hit the quarterback in the chest, and then Coples popped Locker in the side. Locker grabbed at his right hip area as he went to the ground with 11:14 left in the third quarter. He was carted to the locker room and replaced by Ryan Fitzpatrick.
The Titans quarterback already had the first three-touchdown game of his career, and he was 18 of 24 for 149 yards. He is being evaluated.
