TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -Running back Jason Wright and the Arizona Cardinals have agreed to a two-year contract.
Terms were not disclosed when the deal was announced on Monday.
The 5-foot-10, 215-pound free agent spent the last four seasons with the Cleveland Browns, primarily as a third-down back. He gained 85 yards in 23 carries last season and caught 22 passes for 156 yards.
Undrafted out of Northwestern, he signed with San Francisco in 2004 but was released following training camp. He played in two games with the Atlanta Falcons before signing with the Browns in 2005.
Wright has 159 career carries for 588 yards, along with 55 receptions for 486 yards and one touchdown.
His signing helps fill the void left by the departure of J.J. Arrington to Denver.
