CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -The Carolina Panthers came to terms with fullback Brad Hoover on a three-year deal Thursday night, hours before he was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent.
Agent Tim Irwin declined to give financial details.
Hoover has spent the past eight seasons with the Panthers after earning a spot on the roster as an undrafted rookie out of Western Carolina. Hoover played in all 16 games last season and started 12, used primarily used as a blocker.
The 31-year-old Hoover said late last year he hoped to play a few more seasons.
