NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Titans coach Jeff Fisher has completed his coaching staff by hiring Rayna (ruh-NAY) Stewart as his defensive assistant for quality control Tuesday.
Stewart takes the spot of Matt Burke, who joined Detroit coach Jim Schwartz as the Lions' linebackers assistant.
Stewart was a fifth-round draft pick of the then-Houston Oilers in 1996 and spent two seasons with the franchise before playing 1998 in Miami and in Jacksonville in 1999 and 2000. He played in 71 games over five seasons with two interceptions.
He started his coaching career at the high school level and spent the past two seasons at Northwestern as a defensive graduate assistant. He worked with the Titans during training camp last year through the NFL's Minority Coaching Fellowship program.
