SAN DIEGO (AP) -Wil Ledezma agreed Friday on a $620,000, one-year contract with the San Diego Padres to avoid arbitration.
The left-hander was obtained from Atlanta at the trade deadline last season. Overall, he combined to go 3-3 with a 5.61 ERA in 44 games, including one start. That came with the Padres, when he allowed three earned runs in 2 1-3 innings on Aug. 10 at Cincinnati.
Ledezma, who also pitched for Detroit, has a career record of 15-20 with a 5.28 ERA in parts of five seasons. He can earn an additional $30,000 in performance bonuses based on games started.
