Dolphins securing the D-Line
The Miami Dolphins are trying to make a push for the playoffs and they aided that on Saturday by signing Cameron Wake to a two-year extension.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the deal is worth $15 million over the two years, with $10 million guaranteed. The deal can grow to $17 million with incentives. The deal is the most guaranteed to a pass-rusher that is over 33. Wake, though playing just seven seasons, is 34.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Dolphins are getting 60/1 odds to win Super Bowl LI next season. They also have 30/1 odds to win the AFC Championship and an over/under of 7 wins for the 2016 regular season.
Wake is coming off a 7-sack season in 2015, appearing in just 7 games. In 2014, the last season he played a full load, he had 11.5 sacks. Wake has 70 sacks over his seven seasons of action, an average of 10 sacks per year. Along with the addition of first-round draft pick Laremy Tunsil, the Dolphins have tried to secure both lines for next season. The team also drafted Baylor CB Xavien Howard and Alabama RB Kenyan Drake in last week’s NFL Draft.
