Will Saquon Barkley be held under 100 yards rushing by the Packers in Sunday’s Wildcard tilt in Philadelphia? Will Josh Jacobs find the end zone? Read on for our Packers vs. Eagles Same Game Parlay.
Packers vs. Eagles Same Game Parlay: Saquon Barkley under 103.5 Rushing Yards
Barkley is coming off a historic season, nearly eclipsing Eric Dickerson’s single season rushing record. Had he played in Week 18, perhaps he would have broken Dickerson’s record but nonetheless, it was a sensational first season for Barkley in Philadelphia.
That said, Green Bay has a stout run defense, specifically in the second half of the season. Since their Week 10 bye, the Packers have allowed 3.4 yards per carry to running backs, which is second in the NFL. They’ve allowed 0.89 yards before contact against those runs, which is sixth in the league. That includes allowing 94 yards on 29 runs to the Lions’ backfield, while facing Christian McCaffrey, D’Andre Swift, De’Von Achane and Zach Charbonnet over that run.
Finally, Green Bay has not allowed a rusher to hit 80 yards in a game since Joe Mixon accomplished the feat in Week 7.
Packers vs. Eagles Same Game Parlay: Josh Jacobs Anytime Touchdown
Jacobs’ first season in Green Bay was overshadowed by Barkley’s debut in Philadelphia and Derrick Henry’s first season in Baltimore. That said, Jacobs had a strong first campaign with the Packers. He compiled 1,671 yards and 16 touchdowns on 337 touches. He has scored a touchdown on the ground in eight consecutive games, with 12 touchdowns in total over that span.
Much like the Packers, the Eagles are strong against the run. Since their Week 5 bye, Philadelphia has allowed 3.7 yards per carry to running backs, which is second in the NFL. That said, the Eagles have allowed over 100 total yards to Rico Dowdle (108), Chuba Hubbard (107) and Henry (111) over their past six games.
Packers vs. Eagles Same Game Parlay: Jayden Reed over 43.5 Receiving Yards
Reed only had 19 receptions for 237 yards over his final eight games. He only had 55 or more yards receiving in two of his past 12 games and has had more than three receptions in only two games since Week 7.
That said, Christian Watson suffered a season-ending injury last Sunday. With him out, Reed becomes one of the focal points again in Green Bay’s passing game. He averages a team-high 2.19 yards per route run with Watson off the field. And while Philadelphia’s defense has improved significantly, Reed also had a massive game against the Eagles in Week 1. He caught four-of-six targets for 138 yards and a touchdown, while also adding a 33-yard rushing touchdown. He would have had three scores on the night, but he had another long touchdown called back.
