According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Houston is favored at home in this game, as the Texans are getting odds of -6.5 points against the Jaguars. The over/under total for the game has been set at 45.5 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on CBS.

The Texans (8-7, 8-7 ATS) are looking to clinch the division title today with the win over the Jaguars (5-10, 7-7 ATS) who showed some promise during the year, but couldn’t pull out some close games to really contend for a playoff spot. The public betting for this contest is with the Texans and their pursuit of a title, as 71 percent of the wagers are going on Houston as a 6.5-point home favorite. The Texans picked up a 31-20 win at Jacksonville back on Oct. 18 and they have won three straight over the Jags, going 2-1 against the spread in those three games. Houston has also covered in its last two games while the Jaguars are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last five.

Houston is actually healing up for this game, as the Texans get Brian Hoyer back under center after missing the last two games with a concussion. The Texans have started four different QBs this year, but Hoyer has been the best and most consistent, throwing for 2,357 yards and 18 TDs with just 6 INTs. He put up 293 yards and three scores in the first meeting with Jacksonville. The Jaguars will once again be without leading rusher T.J. Yeldon, who has a sprained MCL. That severely hampered their run game last week in a loss to the Saints, as the team had just 65 yards rushing on 15 attempts. That will make things tough for Blake Bortles against the third-ranked Houston defense, which is giving up just 316.5 total yards and 212.2 passing yards per game.
