Brady once again suspended
Just when it looked like Deflategate was over, a federal appeals court has ruled that Tom Brady must serve his four-game suspension from the incident.
The decision was made on Monday, overturning a lower judge that ruled that the suspension handed down a year ago was not fair.
“We hold that the Commissioner properly exercised his broad discretion under the collective bargaining agreement and that his procedural rulings were properly grounded in that agreement and did not deprive Brady of fundamental fairness,” the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Monday in a 2-1 decision in New York.

Brady and the Players Association will have their opportunity to appeal this latest decision, so he could very well still avoid the suspension. However, if this holds, Brady will miss the first four games of the 2016 season. New England starts the season on Sept. 11 at Arizona before hosting Miami, Houston and Buffalo in weeks 2-4. Brady’s first game would be on Oct. 9 at Cleveland.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Patriots were listed at 6/1 to win Super Bowl LI next season. They were listed among the favorites to win it all, but oddsmakers have currently pulled the futures odds as they adjust to the latest ruling. The Patriots are coming off an AFC Championship Game appearance where they lost to the Denver Broncos on the road.
