Rams Season Win Total Prediction
The Rams posted their first winning season in over a decade last season under new head coach Sean McVay. Will they duplicate that success and win another 10 games in 2018 after adding to their roster this offseason?
L.A. Rams Betting Odds
According to oddsmakers, the Rams’ win total for 2018 has been set at 10, with the over carrying 5/6 juice and the under carrying 10/11 odds. They’re also 9/1 to win the 2019 Super Bowl, are 21/4 to win the NFC Conference Championship and are favored to win the NFC West Division at 2/3.

Offseason Additions
The Rams won the offseason with a couple of move-the-needle moves, including trading for former Patriots and Saints receiver Brandin Cooks. He joins a loaded wide receiver corps in L.A., one that also features Robert Woods (who had a breakout season in 2017) and Cooper Kupp (who made an immediate impact as a rookie last year).
Most of L.A.’s offseason additions came on defense, however. The Rams signed Ndamukong Suh to a one-year deal and if the team can make Aaron Donald happy with a contract extension (he’s currently holding out), the team has the best defensive tackle duo in the league. L.A. also traded for corners Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib, and signed Sam Shields to a free-agent contract.
In the draft, the Rams did not own a first or second-round pick. In the third round, the team selected TCU offensive tackle Joseph Noteboom and in the fourth they took Michigan State center Brian Allen and Stephen F. Austin defensive tackle John Franklin-Myers.
Offseason Departures
The Rams released running back Lance Dunbar and cornerbacks Marcus Sayles and Kayvon Webster. They also lost safety Cody Davis (Jaguars) in free agency, as well as cornerback Trumaine Johnson (Jets) and receiver Sammy Watkins (Chiefs).
Rams Season Win Total Prediction
This is a risk given how talented this roster is and how good the coaching staff has become now that Jeff Fisher is gone but I’m taking the under. No team experienced better injury fortunate than the Rams last season and they also face a tougher 2018 schedule both on offense and on defense. If Donald winds up holding out (he didn’t last season), that would be a huge detriment to the defense living up to the offseason hype as well.
Now, do I think the Rams will completely fall off? No. In fact, I see them still winning the division at 9-7. But the 49ers are up-and-coming, the Seahawks still have Russell Wilson and while the Cardinals may struggle to win six games this season, they’ll still be competitive. The Rams won’t sneak up on anyone this year and if they do suffer some injury regression or Jared Goff doesn’t take that next step, they could struggle more than people are expecting.
