Browns vs. Chiefs Over/Under Prediction

Cleveland Browns DFS Spin
Baker Mayfield completed 21-of-34 passes for 263 yards and three touchdowns in Cleveland’s 48-37 Wild Card win against the Steelers. It was the organization’s first playoff win since 1995 and first road postseason win in 52 years. Cleveland opened the half with a commanding 35-10 lead, tying the team record for the most points in any half of a playoff game, due to a fumble-six following Mike Pouncey’s first (poor) snap from scrimmage and tacking on a 40-yard touchdown pass to Jarvis Landry (5/92/1) and two touchdown scampers from Kareem Hunt. Pittsburgh made it interesting in the third quarter, scoring 13 unanswered to close the gap to a 35-23 deficit, but coach Mike Tomlin cowardly punted the ball back to Cleveland on 4th-and-6 to start the fourth quarter and could only watch as Nick Chubb housed a 40-yard touchdown pass from Mayfield on the Browns’ sixth play of the possession. Cleveland’s injury-riddled o-line also kept Mayfield clean without a single pressure permitted throughout the game. The Browns will take the night to celebrate this one before returning in the Divisional Round against the Chiefs.
Kansas City Chiefs DFS Spin
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (hip) is questionable for the Divisional Round against the Browns. CEH got in some practice reps this week, and coach Andy Reid said the Chiefs will take this thing up to game time to decide if the rookie back is ready to return after getting hurt in Week 15. He’s had three weeks of rest, but the injury looked significant at the time, so it’s no surprise Edwards-Helaire is still fighting it. If he sits, Le’Veon Bell and Darrel Williams will split duties.
Browns vs. Chiefs Betting Prediction
The over is 5-1 in the Browns’ last six conference matchups, is 4-1 in their last five games as an underdog and has cashed in five of Cleveland’s last seven games overall. On the other side, the over is 4-0 in the Chiefs’ last four games played in the month of January, is 4-1 in their last five home games versus a team with a winning road record and is 9-4 in their last 13 games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous contest. With the offensive firepower on both sides, it’s the over or nothing for me, despite the fact that the number is sitting so high.
