Chiefs vs. Raiders NFL Week 7 Odds
(The Spread) – After pulling off a stunning trade earlier this week, the Raiders will host the Chiefs at 4:05PM ET on Sunday.
KANSAS CITY: The Chiefs will be fresh coming off their bye and will seek revenge against an Oakland team that beat them twice in 2010. After beating the Vikings and Colts in the previous three weeks, the Chiefs will look to make it three in a row and get back to .500 for the first time since Week 1. They’re 3-2 against the spread and 2-1 on the road this year, as Dwayne Bowe leads the team with four touchdowns and Tama Hali has a team-high four sacks.
OAKLAND: In a stunning move, the Raiders sent a first-round pick and a conditional pick that could turn out to be a first-round pick to Cincinnati for Carson Palmer on Tuesday. Acquiring a quarterback was necessary after the team lost Jason Campbell to a broken collarbone injury last Sunday and the Raiders have already announced that Palmer will start Sunday’s game versus Kansas City. Coach Hue Jackson has the Raiders currently in second place in the AFC West, sporting a 4-2 record and a 5-1 mark against the spread.
Update: As of Friday night, reports are now stating that the Raiders may not start Palmer on Sunday. Kyle Boller would start at quarterback if Oakland feels that Palmer isn’t ready.

ODDS: Oddsmakers currently list the Raiders as 5.5-point favorites over the Chiefs, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 41.5. With the public backing Oakland in this contest, it would be surprising to see the spread drop to the key number of 3 before kickoff.
TRENDS: The Chiefs are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight road games against the Raiders while the underdog is 8-0 ATS in the last eight meetings between these two teams. The road squad is also 19-6-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings between these two teams while the under is 10-2 in the last 12 meetings. The under is also 5-1 in the last six games between these two teams when the game is played in Oakland.
