Bills sign Richie Incognito
BUFFALO, NY (TheSpread) – The Buffalo Bills made a risky decision on Saturday, agreeing to sign infamous guard Richie Incognito to a 1-year deal.
The deal is reportedly worth $2.25 million, according to ESPN. Incognito last played in the 2013 NFL season with the Miami Dolphins, but he was involved in the highly-publicized bullying scandal involving Jonathan Martin. After an NFL investigation, Incognito was suspended for the final eight games of the 2013 season and had not returned to the NFL until the Bills signed him on Saturday.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Buffalo Bills currently have 50/1 odds to win the Super Bowl next season, matching the odds set for the Minnesota Vikings. Seattle is the current favorite at 11/2, while New England has been given 6/1 odds.
The Bills are coming off a 9-7 season in 2014, finishing just outside the playoff picture. Following the season, head coach Doug Marrone opted out of his contract and left the team, opening the door for Buffalo to hire Rex Ryan. Buffalo last made a playoff appearance in 1999.
