Patriots vs. Colts Odds
The New England Patriots have a chance to get out their frustration over Deflate-gate tonight when they hit the road to face the Indianapolis Colts at 8:30PM ET on NBC.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, New England is a heavy favorite in tonight’s game, as the Patriots are getting odds of -10 points against the Colts. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 53.5 points. The Patriots have won six straight over Indy, including last year’s AFC Championship which led to the Deflate-gate scandal. The Patriots have covered the spread in four straight against the Colts and these two have hit the over in seven straight meetings.
New England is 4-0 on the season, 3-1 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total. The Patriots are coming off a 30-6 win in Dallas last week. They have put up at least 28 points in all four games this year and are second in the NFL in scoring at 37.2 points per game. They also lead the league in total yards (423.8 per game) and passing yards (331.2 per game). Defensively, the Pats are giving up 19 points and 342.5 yards per game. Tom Brady has thrown for 1,387 yards and 11 touchdowns this season with no interceptions. Julian Edelman has added 34 receptions for 399 yards and three scores while Jamie Collins has 32 tackles with 3.5 sacks.
Indianapolis is 3-2 on the season, 1-4 against the spread and 3-2 with the under. The Colts are coming off a 27-20 win over Houston on the road last week. The Colts have actually won the last two games without Andrew Luck, who has had a shoulder injury, but will play tonight. The Colts are averaging just 19.8 points and 334.8 yards per game on offense while the defense is giving up 22.6 points and 398.8 yards per game. Indy actually ranks 28th in passing defense, as the Colts are giving up 286.8 yards per game through the air. Luck has thrown for 753 yards with five TDs and seven interceptions this season while Frank Gore has rushed for 325 yards and three touchdowns. The defense is led by D’Qwell Jackson, who has 58 tackles.
