According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Panthers are 3-point home favorites over the Bucs while the over/under total is currently sitting at 41 points. Carolina opened as 5-point favorites and the line reached 6 at one point, but following Cam Newton’s car crash on Tuesday the line dropped all the way down to 3.
The under is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings between these two teams in Carolina and 8-1 in the Panthers’ last nine games versus divisional opponents. The under is also 6-1 in the Panthers’ last seven games in Week 15, 11-2 in their last 13 games following a straight up win and 12-4 in their last 16 home games.
The under has also been a hot play in Bucs’ games, going 6-1 in their last seven games overall and 4-1 in their last five games versus NFC opponents. The under is also a perfect 6-0 in Tampa’s last six games on grass, 4-0 in its last four games versus a team with a losing record and 7-3 in its last 10 games in December.
