According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Ravens are 3-point favorites over the Chiefs on Sunday. The over/under total for this game is currently 40.5 points.

The only significant head-to-head trend in this matchup is that the road team is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two squads. Meanwhile, the Ravens are 6-1 straight up in their last seven games and the Chiefs are 5-2 straight up in their last seven outings.

According to current NFL trends, the total has gone under in four of Baltimore’s last six games and under in four of Kansas City’s last five games when playing at home against the Ravens. Baltimore is also 6-0 against the number after being outgained by 100+ total yards in their last game, while the under is 7-0 in the Chiefs’ last seven outings after being outrushed by 75-plus yards in their last contest.

Overall, these two teams have played just twice in the past five seasons, with the Ravens winning both. In the 2009 season opener, Baltimore crushed visiting Kansas City 48-24 behind Joe Flacco’s 307-yard, three-touchdown performance. It’s important to note, however, that current Chiefs’ starting quarterback Matt Cassel did not play in that game due to an injury.
