Falcons vs. Texans Week 13 Odds
HOUSTON, TX (The Spread) – Down to their third-string quarterback, the Texans will put their four-game winning streak on the line when they host the Falcons this Sunday.
ATLANTA: The Falcons have won five of their last six games including two in a row, although they nearly let the Titans and Vikings come from behind in consecutive weeks. Atlanta had to hang on for a 23-17 win against Tennessee after once leading 23-3 and a 24-14 victory over Minnesota after once leading 17-0. The Falcons are now 7-4 on the year and 4-6-1 against the spread, which includes a push last weekend against the Vikings as a 10-point favorite. The Falcons may also be without top corner Brent Grimes (knee) and starting nickel back Kelvin Hayden (toe) this weekend. The good news is that Julio Jones looks like he’s recovered from his second hamstring injury of the year.
HOUSTON: The Texans have won four games in a row and still own a two-game lead over the Titans in the AFC South, but are now down to their third-string quarterback in fifth-rounder T.J. Yates. Matt Schaub (foot) was injured two weeks ago in a win over the Browns while Matt Leinart went down last Sunday with a collarbone injury in a victory over the Jaguars. While the team did sign free agent Jake Delhomme on Tuesday, Yates is expected to start on Sunday versus the Falcons. Houston is 8-3 on the year and 7-3-1 against the spread.
