2011 NFL Week 11 on CBS: Chargers vs. Bears Odds, Spread & Trends

Chargers vs. Bears Week 11 Odds

CHICAGO, IL (The Spread) – The surging Bears will put their four-game winning streak on the line when they host the struggling Chargers at 4:15PM ET this Sunday.

SAN DIEGO: Nobody is quite sure what to make of the Chargers, who have now lost four in a row following their 24-17 loss to the Raiders on Thursday night football in Week 10. That loss dropped San Diego’s record to 4-5 on the year and put the Bolts one game behind Oakland in the AFC West. Philip Rivers and the offense continues to sputter while the San Diego defense is now having problems of its own. The Chargers have failed to cover the spread in seven of their nine games this year.

CHICAGO: The Bears have played inspired football since their 24-13 loss to the Lions on Monday Night Football back in Week 5. They’ve now won four in a row, including their 37-13 win over the Lions at home in Week 10. That win propelled Chicago into a two-team tie for second place in the NFC North with Detroit. Perhaps the most encouraging thing about the Bears’ latest win is that they intercepted Matthew Stafford four times and returned two of those picks for touchdowns. Devin Hester also returned a punt for a touchdown, so the Bears needed very little output from their offense in order to secure an easy victory.

TRENDS: The Bears are 4-0 against the number in their last four games overall and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games as a favorite. The Chargers, meanwhile, are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six road games and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall. They are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games in Week 11, however.
