Two teams with fleeting playoff hopes will meet in Week 14 when the Houston Texans host the Seattle Seahawks at 1:00PM ET on Sunday.
The Seahawks defeated the 49ers 20-17 as a 1-point underdog in Week 13, while the combined score fell under the posted total of 41.5 points. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck threw for 198 yards with two touchdowns for Seattle, while Julius Jones rushed for 67 yards on 20 carries.
The Texans lost to the Jaguars 23-18 as a 1.5-point underdog in Week 13, while the combined score fell under the posted total of 47.5 points. Matt Schaub threw for 207 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while Andre Johnson had seven receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Texans 7-point favorites over the Seahawks in Week 14. The over/under total for this game has been set for 44.5 points.
Both of these teams haven’t been good of late, with the Seahawks failing to cover in six of their last seven games on the road and the Texans failing to cover in four of their last five outings.
Even though Seattle hasn’t played well on the road, Houston shouldn’t be favored by seven points over anybody right now. They’re passing attack will be something that the Seahawks may struggle with, but Hasselbeck and company should have some success scoring points in this game.
